About us

We exist because quoting jams the store

Tablia is a technology company that automates building material quoting. We connect the store's inventory to a system that reads the customer's request in any format and returns a checked quote in seconds — so the team can get back to what the store needs them doing.

The problem

Everyone behind the counter knows where it hurts

Quoting and negotiating eats the time and the people of a building material store. It is not a lack of effort — it is a process that demands human repetition where repetition could already be automated.

The salesperson becomes a typist

Read the list, look up every item in the system, check the price, build the quote. Hours a day on work that is not selling — and that starts over the moment the customer asks to swap a brand.

Most of it never becomes a sale

Anyone asking for a quote asks three or four stores. Your store spends the same effort on every quote, knowing only a fraction will close.

Whoever waits, walks away

On the other end is someone with a site standing still. The first answer wins — and answering first, by hand, is what nobody can keep up.

What happened disappears

Quotes on paper, in private chats, on the phone of whoever went on holiday. The store does not know how many were asked for, how many closed, or what was missing from stock.

What we do

One tool, two ways in

The customer sends the list the way it already exists — a photo of the paper, a PDF, a spreadsheet or plain text. Tablia reads it item by item, looks each one up in the store's inventory by meaning and builds the quote. The salesperson checks it, adjusts it and sends it.

This happens through the store's public page and through its WhatsApp, on the number customers have already saved. Same engine, same inventory, same quote — only the door changes.

How it is built

Reading the list
Multimodal language models that read PDFs and photos
Searching the inventory
768-dimension vectors in PostgreSQL, matched by meaning
Application
Django and React, asynchronous processing with Celery
Infrastructure
Cloud, with data isolated between stores

You do not need to understand any of this to use Tablia. It is here because we think whoever signs the contract has a right to know what they are signing for.

How we think

Four things we will not trade away

Automating quotes touches price, stock and the relationship with the customer. Those are decisions the store built over years, and it is not a software vendor's place to run them over.

The salesperson has the last word

Tablia assembles the proposal; a person at the store checks it and sends it. We did not build a system that closes sales on its own — we built one that arrives with the work ready to be reviewed.

The data belongs to the store

Inventory, prices, customers and history belong to whoever signs the contract. We get out of the way when the store wants to take it all with them.

What is missing gets said

An item that is not in stock shows up as missing, both in the quote and in the dashboard. Hiding an absence creates a sale that cannot be fulfilled — and loses a purchasing signal.

No black box

We explain how the system reads the list, how it finds the product and where it can get things wrong. Technology that will not be examined does not deserve to decide a price.

Who it is for

From the shop on the corner to the home center

Wherever customers are served through quotes, the problem we solve is there. Size changes the volume, not the nature of the work.

Inside the store, three different people feel the effect: the owner, who can finally see what was asked for and what closed; the salesperson, who stops typing; and the customer, who gets an answer while they are still deciding.

The company

Made in Belo Horizonte

We are a Brazilian company, based in Minas Gerais, building for building material retail. It was not adapted from a generic template: it was designed alongside real stores, for the way quoting actually happens — over WhatsApp, in a photo of a handwritten note, in the architect's PDF.
